Welcome to the Smithing Guide
Smithing is a tad harder then some of the other skills, seeing as you have to have a high enough mining level. The best thing I think to smith is steel. You just need to be able to mine coal and iron. You need 2 coal ores and 1 iron ore. You just throw that in, bring a hammer and your steel bars to an anvil and make whatever you want. Awesome hint: The best place to do this is Al Karhid. You can mine pretty much everything there, there’s a furnace, and there’s an anvil in the city of Varrock, which is just a bit farther up North.

Welcome to the Woodcutting Guide
Woodcutting (wc) is a simple stat to raise. All you need is an axe (or money to buy an axe), and a good tree to chop. First of all, you have to know which trees you can chop. Everyone can chop Trees, except for one. This tree is in the Lumbridge Swamp, when you go to a certain tree and put your mouse above it, in the corner it will say Chop Tree instead of Chop Down Tree. This tree you can’t chop, unless you have started the Lost City quest. Anyway, just chop Trees until you get 15 wc, then start chopping oak trees until you get to 30 wc. I would continue with those trees until you can chop yews. (Members, once your wc is high enough, start chopping teak trees, which are just south of castle wars.) This is also a great way to make money and raise fire making, because you can sell the wood, and you can burn it. Other then these tips, I can’t help you much, if you have any questions, check out the comments section.
